BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) — Haitong Securities, a major Chinese brokerage, reported robust growth in its net profit in 2020 despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Its net profit attributable to shareholders came in at 10.88 billion yuan (about 1.68 billion U.S. dollars) last year, climbing 14.2 percent year on year, according to a preliminary financial statement the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The operating revenue of the company rose 9.45 percent from a year ago to 38.16 billion yuan, the statement said.
